These Marketplace Rules apply to all StudiFlip users, listings, messages, services, housing posts, and offline activity arranged through StudiFlip.

Parts I, II, III, and V are binding and form part of the StudiFlip Terms of Service. Part IV is informational safety guidance and does not create contractual duties or guarantees.

A category appearing in the app does not mean every item or service in that category is allowed. StudiFlip may reject, remove, recategorize, restrict, or preserve content at any time.

Part I: Products, Housing, and Other Listings

1. General standards

A listing must be lawful, accurate, current, and not misleading. The user must have the legal right and authority to offer the item, property, service, or opportunity.

A user must disclose material defects, recalls, restrictions, title issues, lease conditions, safety risks, and other facts a reasonable person would consider important.

2. Prohibited products

Weapons and weapon-related products

The following are prohibited:

• firearms;

• ammunition;

• explosives and fireworks;

• firearm parts and accessories;

• firearm optics and weapon-mounted lasers;

• gun-maintenance and firearm-storage products marketed specifically for firearms;

• airsoft guns;

• BB and pellet guns;

• paintball markers and air systems;

• bows, crossbows, arrows, and bolts;

• martial-arts weapons;

• body armor and ballistic plates;

• weapon-oriented tactical gear;

• combat, automatic, disguised, throwing, or weapon-marketed knives;

• stun guns, tasers, batons, brass knuckles, and similar weapons; and

• incendiary and arson-oriented devices, including flamethrowers, incendiary chemical mixtures, and any product designed, modified, or marketed to start uncontrolled or destructive fires. Ordinary lighters, matches, camping fire-starters, and charcoal-starting products may be listed under the restricted-product rules below if lawful and accurately described.

Ordinary outdoor clothing, camping equipment, non-weapon protective sports equipment, kitchen knives, craft tools, and utility tools may be allowed under the restricted-product rules below.

Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and regulated substances

The following are prohibited:

• alcohol;

• tobacco;

• nicotine products, vaping devices, e-liquids, and nicotine pouches;

• marijuana, THC, CBD, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia;

• prescription medicines and prescription devices;

• over-the-counter medicines;

• medical testing and monitoring products;

• weight-loss, sexual-enhancement, bodybuilding, and performance-enhancing products;

• needles, syringes, and injection supplies; and

• products marketed with unlawful medical or disease claims.

Hazardous products

The following are prohibited:

• hazardous, toxic, corrosive, radioactive, or acutely flammable materials;

• compressed gases and filled gas cylinders;

• fuel, gasoline, propane, lighter fluid, and similar combustibles;

• pesticides requiring restricted handling;

• recalled products;

• damaged, swollen, modified, homemade, or uncertified lithium batteries; and

• products whose sale, storage, transport, or intended use creates an unreasonable danger.

Generators and fuel-powered equipment may be listed only if lawful, accurately described, sold without fuel, not recalled, and safe to transfer.

Health, hygiene, and body-procedure products

The following are prohibited:

• opened cosmetics;

• opened personal-hygiene products;

• opened supplements;

• contact lenses of any kind, including cosmetic and decorative lenses;

• tattoo machines, tattoo needles, piercing tools, and procedure kits;

• numbing creams and medical aftercare products;

• used intimate products; and

• products with broken tamper protection.

Fraud-prone and intangible products

The following are prohibited:

• gift cards;

• stored-value cards;

• discount codes, vouchers, and account credits;

• cryptocurrency, securities, and investment products;

• digital accounts, login credentials, and personal data;

• non-transferable software licences;

• video-game accounts and virtual property where transfer is prohibited;

• fake IDs, government documents, university IDs, meal-plan access, and access credentials;

• raffles, lotteries, gambling entries, and paid “spots”; and

• tickets or access rights the seller does not lawfully control.

Stolen, counterfeit, infringing, and deceptive goods

The following are prohibited:

• stolen goods;

• goods with removed or altered serial numbers;

• counterfeit products and unauthorized replicas;

• goods bearing a trademark, logo, or brand identifier that the seller knows or reasonably should know was applied without authorization;

• pirated media or software;

• products the seller lacks authority to transfer;

• fake certificates, receipts, authentication records, or provenance;

• items that infringe copyright, trademark, patent, publicity, privacy, or other rights; and

• items materially different from the description or photographs.

For clarity, reselling a genuine, lawfully acquired branded item is allowed unless another rule prohibits it.

Surveillance, intrusion, and privacy-invasive products

The following are prohibited:

• hidden cameras and covert audio devices;

• devices marketed for spying, stalking, or secret recording;

• trackers intended or marketed for monitoring a person without consent;

• keyloggers, credential-theft tools, spyware, or malicious software;

• skimmers, cloning tools, and access-control bypass equipment; and

• devices configured or marketed for unauthorized access.

Ordinary visible security cameras, lawful property trackers, and lock-related tools may be listed only under the restricted rules below.

Adult and exploitative products

The following are prohibited:

• pornography and explicit sexual content;

• sexual services;

• non-consensual intimate material;

• exploitative sexual content;

• adult products intended primarily for sexual stimulation; and

• any sexual or exploitative material involving minors.

Animals and life-safety goods

The following are prohibited:

• live animals, animal transfers, breeding, and adoption-fee listings;

• damaged, expired, recalled, or materially unsafe baby products;

• climbing ropes and climbing harnesses;

• parachutes and critical life-safety equipment with an unknown history; and

• products whose safety history cannot reasonably be evaluated and whose failure could foreseeably cause severe injury.

Pet supplies may be listed if otherwise permitted.

Other prohibited matter

The following are also prohibited:

• human remains, organs, body parts, bodily fluids, or biological specimens;

• products made from endangered, threatened, or protected species, including ivory, protected corals, sea-turtle products, and taxidermy or parts of protected wildlife, and any wildlife product whose sale or transfer is restricted by federal or state law;

• official law-enforcement, military, or government badges, credentials, or documents where sale could facilitate impersonation;

• recalled or unlawfully distributed products; and

• any item whose sale is unlawful or prohibited by app-store policy.

3. Restricted products

Restricted products are allowed only if every condition below and every applicable law are satisfied.

Ordinary knives and tools

Kitchen, craft, gardening, and ordinary utility knives may be listed only when:

• marketed and described as tools;

• lawful to possess and transfer;

• not automatic, concealed, disguised, throwing, combat, or self-defence products; and

• the listing does not encourage violence.

Pepper spray, bear spray, and lawful self-defence sprays

These products may be listed only if:

• commercially manufactured and in original packaging;

• lawful to possess, transfer, and use in the relevant jurisdiction;

• not expired, recalled, discharged, damaged, or modified;

• not marketed for unlawful use or use against a specific person; and

• the user complies with campus, housing, transportation, and age-related restrictions.

StudiFlip may remove these products where moderation, app-store, or safety requirements make listing impracticable.

Weapon-neutral tactical and outdoor goods

Ordinary outdoor clothing, backpacks, boots, camping equipment, and protective sporting gear may be listed when not designed, marketed, or intended for weapons, combat, violent use, or impersonation.

Vitamins and dietary supplements

A vitamin or supplement may be listed only if:

• commercially manufactured;

• factory sealed and unopened;

• tamper protection is intact;

• clearly labelled and unexpired;

• not recalled or prescription-only;

• not marketed for weight loss, sexual enhancement, bodybuilding, drug-like effects, or disease treatment; and

• the listing makes no unlawful medical claim.

Cosmetics and personal-hygiene products

These products may be listed only if factory sealed, unused, unopened, unexpired where applicable, not recalled, stored appropriately, and not repackaged or homemade.

Commercially packaged food and drinks

Commercially manufactured food and non-alcoholic drinks may be listed only if:

• factory sealed and unopened;

• within the labelled date;

• not recalled;

• kept under required storage and temperature conditions;

• sold in original packaging; and

• accurately described for allergens, damage, and refrigeration or freezing requirements.

Catering products, opened food, repackaged food, and alcohol are prohibited as product listings. A home-prepared food product is prohibited as a product listing unless every condition in the home-prepared food products rules below is satisfied. A separately listed lawful service remains subject to Part III.

Home-prepared food products

A food product that the seller prepares, grows, or raises at home may be listed only if every one of the following conditions is satisfied:

• the product is made, grown, or raised by the seller at the seller’s own primary residence, or in a permanent structure on the same property, and not in a rented, shared, communal, or institutional kitchen;

• the product is not a potentially hazardous food and does not require refrigeration or temperature control for safety;

• the product is not being resold;

• the seller holds a current food handler certificate from a certificate issuer accredited by the American National Standards Institute;

• the listing displays the full product label information, namely the producer’s name and address, the common or usual name of the product, the ingredients in descending order by predominance by weight, the net weight or volume, the processing date, and the statement “This product is home produced and processed and the production area has not been inspected by the state department of health. NOT FOR RESALE.” set out in at least 10 point type;

• allergens are accurately disclosed;

• the product is not shipped or delivered to a person located outside Indiana;

• any shipped or delivered product is in a sealed package that allows the recipient to detect tampering; and

• the seller keeps a record of the delivery address of each purchaser for at least one year.

Event tickets and passes

A ticket or pass may be listed only if:

• the seller lawfully possesses it;

• it is genuine, valid, unused, and transferable;

• the event and venue permit resale or transfer;

• material restrictions and the event date are disclosed;

• the seller does not sell or transfer the same ticket, or the same access right, to more than one buyer;

• it is not a university credential, meal-plan right, or non-transferable student benefit; and

• price and mandatory fees are accurate.

Vehicles, motorcycles, boats, recreational vehicles, and parts

A vehicle or vehicle-part listing must:

• be posted by the owner or an authorized person;

• accurately identify title, registration, lien, odometer, recall, and damage status where relevant;

• disclose whether the item is salvaged, rebuilt, or flooded;

• avoid posting unredacted identity or title documents;

• comply with dealer, tax, registration, safety, and consumer laws; and

• not claim StudiFlip financing, escrow, title verification, or shipping protection.

E-bikes, e-scooters, and battery-powered mobility products

These may be listed only if not recalled, the battery and charger are original or manufacturer-approved, known damage is disclosed, and no cell, pack, or charger has been modified. Swollen, punctured, water-damaged, homemade, modified, or uncertified batteries are prohibited.

Used car seats, helmets, and safety equipment

A used car seat or helmet may be listed only if:

• not expired or recalled;

• never involved in a crash or material impact;

• all labels, instructions, and identifying information are present;

• no part is missing, modified, or damaged; and

• the seller accurately discloses age and history.

StudiFlip may remove these items categorically because their safety history is difficult to verify.

Drones

Drones may be listed only if lawful, not stolen, not modified for weapons or surveillance abuse, and accurately described. Users are responsible for registration, airspace, campus, and aviation requirements.

Visible security cameras and lawful property trackers

These may be listed only if:

• not designed or marketed for covert monitoring;

• prior account links and stored data are removed;

• subscriptions and compatibility limits are disclosed;

• the tracker is intended only for lawful tracking of property owned or controlled by the user; and

• the listing does not encourage stalking, privacy violations, or monitoring a person without consent.

Lock-related tools

Lock-picking, locksmith, and bypass tools may be listed only if lawful and marketed for legitimate locksmith, educational, sporting, or owner-authorized use. Listings that encourage burglary, trespass, unauthorized access, or evasion are prohibited.

Class notes, study guides, and lecture materials

A user may list their own original notes or study guide only when:

• the instructor and university rules permit sale or transfer;

• the material does not reproduce protected slides, textbooks, test banks, or course materials beyond legally permitted use;

• it contains no leaked exams, answer keys, graded work, or confidential information; and

• it is not marketed as a way to cheat.

A lecture recording may be listed or shared only with express instructor permission and every additional consent required by law and university policy.

A textbook listing that originally included a digital access code must clearly state whether the code is included and unused.

Mystery boxes and liquidation lots

Mystery boxes, return pallets, and liquidation lots may not be sold sight-unseen. The seller must accurately identify the material contents, condition, source, and known defects.

Everything Else

An uncategorized listing is allowed only if it complies with every rule. “Everything Else” is not an exception.

4. Housing, sublets, roommate, parking, and storage listings

These listings are allowed as bulletin-board posts only.

A listing must:

• be posted by a person with lawful authority or a genuine search need;

• accurately describe the property, price, dates, fees, utilities, restrictions, and approval requirements;

• disclose that landlord or property-manager approval may be required;

• not demand payment based solely on screenshots or unverifiable documents;

• not contain an unlawful discriminatory preference or limitation;

• not contain any statement indicating a preference, limitation, or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by applicable state or local law;

• comply with leases, property rules, zoning, occupancy, fair-housing, and university requirements; and

• not claim that StudiFlip inspected or approved the property.

StudiFlip provides free-text fields only. StudiFlip offers no preference, limitation, or targeting field, and no suggested preference wording.

StudiFlip screens housing, sublet, roommate, parking, and storage listings for terms indicating an unlawful preference, and may remove a listing on that basis.

StudiFlip supports equal housing opportunity. Every housing listing on StudiFlip must be open to all persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

Users should independently verify the property, counterparty, lease, and authority to sublet before sending money or personal documents.

Part II: Community and Conduct Rules

5. Be accurate and honest

Do not:

• misrepresent identity, enrollment, employment, credentials, licence, authority, ownership, condition, authenticity, availability, location, price, fees, or restrictions;

• use misleading photographs or descriptions;

• hide damage, recalls, defects, lease restrictions, or title issues;

• post the same item repeatedly to manipulate visibility; or

• mark an item as free when payment or another condition is required.

6. Respect others

Do not:

• harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, shame, or dox another person;

• use hate speech or discriminatory abuse;

• publish private contact, financial, identity, access, or location information without permission;

• sexually harass or exploit another person;

• retaliate against a reporter; or

• pressure someone to meet, enter a property, provide transportation, or continue a transaction.

Housing listings may not violate fair-housing or anti-discrimination law.

7. Prevent scams and fraud

Prohibited conduct includes:

• advance-fee scams;

• overpayment and fake-check schemes;

• fake payment confirmations;

• requests for gift cards, codes, or cryptocurrency;

• phishing and account takeover;

• identity or property impersonation;

• fake landlord, roommate, employer, or service-provider activity;

• requesting deposits before reasonable verification;

• duplicate sale or transfer of the same ticket, item, or access right;

• false refunds, chargebacks, or delivery claims; and

• claiming that StudiFlip offers escrow, payment protection, or mandatory payment verification.

8. Protect privacy and accounts

Do not share passwords, one-time codes, bank-login credentials, full payment-card numbers, unredacted identity documents, access codes, or another person’s private information.

Do not post an exact home address, dorm-room number, or private access point in a public listing. Use private messages carefully when a precise location is genuinely necessary.

9. Platform integrity

Do not:

• evade suspensions, bans, age rules, acceptance gates, or listing limits;

• create deceptive duplicate accounts;

• manipulate reports, rankings, or engagement;

• scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service;

• attempt to bypass content filters or moderation; or

• use product listings, housing posts, or messages to evade a prohibited category.

10. Campus and property rules

Users must comply with Purdue, landlord, apartment-complex, residence-hall, parking, solicitation, commercial-activity, and campus-access rules.

StudiFlip’s use of a building or campus name does not imply approval or affiliation.

Part III: Services and Academic Integrity

11. General service rules

Lawful service listings may be offered, including tutoring, editing, repair, delivery, moving, hauling, pet care, events, creative, technical, cleaning, assembly, food-related, and similar categories, subject to these Rules and to the categories not available at launch described immediately below.

Categories not available at launch. The following service categories are not available in the current release and may not be listed, offered, requested, solicited, or arranged through the Service:

• beauty and personal-care services;

• childcare and babysitting services; and

• passenger transportation, including rides, carpools, and cost-shared or expense-shared travel.

Listings in these categories will be removed and may result in enforcement under Part V. Where these Rules set out conditions for a category that is not available at launch, those conditions have no present application; they will take effect only if and when StudiFlip makes the category available and updates these Rules. Moving, hauling, and delivery of items remain available at launch and are governed by the rules below.

A provider must:

• accurately describe the service, price, timing, limitations, and cancellation terms;

• possess every legally required licence, permit, qualification, insurance policy, registration, consent, and authorization;

• comply with employment, tax, consumer-protection, health, safety, housing, transportation, food, childcare, and professional rules;

• where applicable law regulates not only who may perform a service but also the premises or setting in which it may be performed, satisfy both requirements, and not offer or perform the service at a location where performing it would be unlawful;

• disclose material risks and whether the provider is insured or licensed; and

• avoid claiming that StudiFlip has vetted or verified them.

StudiFlip does not verify qualifications, licences, insurance, background, safety, or service quality.

StudiFlip may prohibit or remove any service that it considers too regulated, dangerous, difficult to verify, or inconsistent with app-store or university requirements.

Moving, hauling, and delivery (and passenger transportation, not available at launch)

Users may post moving, hauling, and delivery listings as bulletin-board posts only. Passenger transportation is not available at launch: ride, carpool, and shared-travel listings, including cost-shared and expense-shared arrangements, may not be posted, offered, requested, solicited, or arranged through the Service. A provider offering a moving, hauling, or delivery service must:

• hold a valid driver’s licence;

• use a vehicle that is currently registered and insured;

• accurately describe the route or service area, cost basis, and vehicle; and

• comply with any for-hire, rideshare, campus, and parking rules that apply to the arrangement.

Personal auto-insurance policies often exclude coverage for driving offered for payment, including moving, hauling, and delivery work. Confirming that coverage applies is the provider’s responsibility, and confirming the provider, vehicle, and insurance is the other user’s responsibility. StudiFlip does not verify licences, insurance, vehicles, or driving history and is not a transportation carrier, broker, or transportation network company.

For clarity, and without limiting the requirements above:

• passenger transportation, including rides, carpools, and cost-shared travel, is not available at launch and may not be posted, offered, requested, solicited, or arranged through the Service;

• ride, carpool, moving, hauling, and delivery content is a user-posted bulletin-board listing only;

• StudiFlip provides no ride request, matching, acceptance, dispatch, queueing, or driver-assignment function;

• StudiFlip does not set, calculate, quote, collect, hold, or remit any fare or payment, and does not issue trip receipts;

• StudiFlip does not onboard, screen, qualify, train, supervise, or rate drivers as drivers, and does not operate a driver-facing mode;

• StudiFlip does not prearrange rides and does not connect riders to drivers to request prearranged rides; and

• StudiFlip is not a transportation network company, a common carrier, a contract carrier, a motor carrier, or a transportation broker, and does not hold itself out as any of them.

Childcare and babysitting

This category is not available. It may not be listed, offered, requested, solicited, or arranged through the Service, and listings in it will be removed. Nothing in the conditions set out below permits a listing while the category is unavailable; those conditions state the requirements that will apply if and when StudiFlip makes the category available and updates these Rules.

Childcare and babysitting listings must accurately describe the provider’s experience, any certifications (such as CPR or first aid), and the supervision arrangement offered, and must not claim or imply that StudiFlip has vetted, background-checked, or endorsed the provider.

A childcare or babysitting listing must also comply with the following:

• the listing may not offer care for six or more children who are not related to the provider;

• the provider may not hold out, describe, or advertise the service as a licensed or registered child care home, child care centre, or child care ministry unless the provider in fact holds that licence or registration and states its number in the listing; and

• the provider may not claim or imply that StudiFlip or any third party has background-checked, screened, vetted, certified, or endorsed the provider.

StudiFlip performs no background check, criminal history check, reference check, or credential verification of any kind, and undertakes no duty to do so.

Food-preparation services

Food-preparation services (including baking, meal preparation, and catering) may be offered only where the provider satisfies every condition in the home-prepared food products rules in Part I, Section 3, or holds the applicable retail-food or catering permit. A provider holding out as a caterer or as a retail food operation must hold the applicable retail-food or catering permit, and the listing must accurately state which basis applies. Foods requiring refrigeration or temperature control for safety may not be offered as home-prepared products.

Beauty and personal-care services

A hair, nail, skin, lash, waxing, barbering, esthetic, or similar personal-care service may be listed only where:

• the provider holds every individual licence required for that service; and

• the service is performed at a licensed salon, a licensed shop, or a licensed mobile facility, and not in a residence, residence hall, apartment, dormitory room, office, classroom, or other unlicensed location.

Delivery and courier services

A delivery, courier, or transport service may not be offered or used to deliver any item prohibited under Part I. Offering to deliver a prohibited item is itself a prohibited service.

12. Prohibited services

The following are prohibited:

• unlawful services;

• services in any category that these Rules state is not available at launch;

• sexual services;

• services involving controlled substances or prohibited products;

• services intended to harass, stalk, threaten, discriminate, trespass, break into property, or evade security;

• impersonation, fake credentials, document fraud, or account access;

• unlicensed tax, legal, medical, mental-health, therapy, investment, insurance, or other regulated professional advice where a licence is required;

• invasive medical procedures;

• offering any personal-care service at an unlicensed location where the law requires the service to be performed at a licensed premises;

• services involving exploitation, trafficking, or unsafe labour; and

• any service that cannot legally be offered by the provider.

13. Academic-integrity rules

Neutral labels such as “tutoring,” “editing,” “coaching,” “homework help,” or “project help” do not permit cheating.

Permitted assistance may include:

• explaining concepts;

• creating original practice questions;

• reviewing a user’s draft;

• correcting grammar and spelling;

• discussing methods and debugging concepts; and

• helping a user understand and improve their own work, where instructor and university rules permit it.

Prohibited assistance includes:

• completing assessed homework, exams, quizzes, labs, code, CAD, calculations, essays, reports, presentations, or projects for submission;

• writing or substantially rewriting graded content;

• taking an assessment or attending a class for another person;

• providing leaked exams, answers, test banks, or unauthorized materials;

• fabricating data, citations, results, credentials, or attendance; and

• knowingly helping another person violate academic-integrity rules.

Part IV: Informational Safety Guidance

14. Before meeting or paying

Consider:

• reviewing the other user’s profile and listing history;

• asking for current photographs or verification appropriate to the transaction;

• independently checking serial numbers, recalls, titles, leases, landlord approval, licences, or credentials;

• refusing unusual payment requests;

• avoiding deposits before verifying a property or service;

• telling someone where you are going; and

• choosing a public, populated location where appropriate.

15. Meeting and transaction safety

Inspect an item before paying. Do not enter a property or vehicle if the situation appears unsafe. Do not meet alone where the nature of the transaction creates elevated risk. Leave immediately if a user pressures you, changes terms unexpectedly, or asks for sensitive credentials.

StudiFlip has no buyer-protection, seller-protection, escrow, or refund program for user-to-user transactions.

16. Rentals, lending, delivery, transportation, housing, and services

Use written terms for rentals and deposits. Photograph condition before transfer. Verify insurance where relevant.

For housing, verify the address, landlord or manager, lease, sublet approval, fees, and identity before paying or sharing documents.

For services, verify licences, insurance, references, qualifications, and background where relevant. StudiFlip does not perform that verification.

For rides, check the driver’s licence and plate against the listing before getting in, share your trip details and live location with someone you trust, and do not proceed if the driver, vehicle, or terms differ from the listing.

For hair, nail, skin, and other beauty services, ask whether the provider holds any licence required for that service and verify qualifications before booking; many personal-care services legally require an Indiana licence, and StudiFlip does not check credentials. Users may also wish to confirm that the service will be performed at a licensed salon or licensed mobile facility, rather than in a residence or dorm room.

For childcare, StudiFlip performs no background checks. Before any booking: verify the provider’s references independently, meet the provider in advance, confirm certifications you care about (such as CPR and first aid), exchange emergency contacts, agree on supervision rules and activities in writing, and consider a short supervised trial before an unsupervised booking.

17. Emergencies

For an immediate threat, suspected crime in progress, medical emergency, or danger, contact 911 or local emergency services first. Then report the user or content in the app or email [email protected].

Part V: Reporting and Enforcement

18. Reports

Users may report profiles, listings, and conversations. Reports must be made in good faith and should include enough information for review.

Reporter identity is not disclosed to the reported user as a routine matter, but information may be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary for safety, fraud, or enforcement.

19. Screening and review

StudiFlip may use:

• automated keyword blocking or flagging;

• AWS image moderation;

• human pre-publication approval;

• human post-publication review;

• user reports; and

• account, category, and behaviour signals.

Not every listing will necessarily receive human approval before publication, and screening does not guarantee that prohibited content will be detected.

StudiFlip does not create, author, select, edit, or materially contribute to the content of user listings, profiles, or messages. Pre-publication review is a decision to permit or decline publication of content authored entirely by the user. Moderation is undertaken in good faith to restrict access to material that StudiFlip or its users consider objectionable.

20. Enforcement

Depending on severity, history, risk, and available evidence, StudiFlip may:

• warn a user;

• request information or edits;

• delay, reject, recategorize, hide, or remove content;

• restrict messaging, listings, subscriptions, or other features;

• preserve relevant evidence;

• suspend or terminate an account;

• retain identifiers to prevent ban evasion;

• notify affected users; or

• refer a matter to a rights owner, university, property manager, app store, emergency service, or authority where appropriate and lawful.

Severe violations, such as weapons, exploitation, credible threats, fraud, stolen property, dangerous goods, or repeated cheating, may result in immediate termination without a prior warning.

20A. Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery: Notice and Removal

Sharing, posting, sending, or threatening to share an intimate visual depiction of an identifiable person without that person’s consent is prohibited, whether the depiction is authentic or computer-generated.

A depicted person may report an intimate visual depiction using the in-app reporting tool, by email to [email protected], or by email to [email protected]. The dedicated reporting route for these reports is [email protected].

A valid removal request must contain:

• a physical or electronic signature of the depicted person or of an authorised representative;

• information reasonably sufficient to identify and locate the intimate visual depiction, including the listing, profile, message, or link where it appears;

• a statement that the depicted person did not consent to the depiction being shared or published; and

• the requester’s name, email address, and telephone number or other contact details.

On receiving a valid request, StudiFlip will remove the intimate visual depiction and will make reasonable efforts to remove any known identical copies of it, in each case within 48 hours of receiving the request.

A request may be submitted by an authorised representative of the depicted person, including a parent or guardian.

Removal is undertaken in good faith and is not a determination of fact about any person, any depiction, or any consent given or withheld.

StudiFlip logs each request it receives and the action taken.

21. Appeals

A user may appeal certain enforcement decisions by emailing [email protected]. The appeal should identify the decision and explain why it should be changed.

StudiFlip may limit repetitive, abusive, untimely, or bad-faith appeals. Emergency actions, legal holds, and actions required by law may remain in effect during review.

22. Updates

StudiFlip may update these Rules prospectively. Material updates may require renewed acceptance before continued use of affected features.
